My mission is to transform the college application experience from one of stress to one of discovery, reflection, and growth.  I’m passionate about helping students uncover interests and deepen their intellectual curiosity.  I love working with students to find those “best fit” schools and create balanced lists that launch students into the application process filled with enthusiasm for their next step.   

As well, I love the college essay work we do together.  As an experienced editor, writer, and essay counselor with expertise in the college admissions process, I tap into students' creativity to highlight the writer inside each of them. My process teaches students how to write well-crafted essays that succeed in capturing the eye of admissions officers, as well as teaching students writing skills vital to success once they begin their college careers.

Prior to founding Tell Me A Story College Advising, I  worked as a writer and editor at Penguin Books, then as a marketing and communications professional across multiple industries. I have a College Counseling Certificate from the University of California at Berkeley, an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco, and undergraduate degrees in History and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
